IT Funk has been The Norwegian Research Council's RTD-programme on ICT for people with disability.
Universal design and accessibility for all. The purpose of IT Funk has been to contribute to accessibility for all, including persons with disability, to information and communication technology (ICT) and to society through the use of ICT. ICT-based products and services developed for the general market must be accessible and useful for everyone at reasonable prices. IT Funk has paid special attention to areas where accessibility issues impact on a person's life chances, such as education, employment and basic services to citizens.

Primary objective: T&Tnet provides solutions to help elderly get to a specific destination by making use of a different transport means, and it offers navigation and orientation adapted to the user preference in real time.
Project summary: T&Tnet is a personalized context-based multimodal and multinational social journey-planning, with effective capabilities and an easy to follow adaptive real time guidance, making use of artificial reasoning based on an information manager. The solution will allow older people to carry out and solve movement tasks and problems independently. The project not only provides help in getting to a specific destination making use of a different means of transport, but also offers navigation/orientation assistance adapted to the user preferences in real time, by making use of transport information (schedule, delay etc), emotions, social network, a collaborative platform with message and alarm-support.
